Trí Fábrica
Trí-Fábrica is a visually captivating show blending vertical dance, contemporary circus and magical realism. Three dancers transform a building façade into a vertical dance floor. The wall becomes a place of shifting power where the dancers, suspended by ropes, explore stories of oppression, labour and liberation through the lens of the female body.
The building becomes a living presence. Its walls steeped in memories, its surfaces echoing with past and present lives. As the dancers run, jump, meet and soften into the surfaces they inhabit these stories. At times they appear to be in control, at other times they are overtaken by the will of building itself.
Trí-Fábrica originated on an old Portuguese military factory and questions how women exist in relation to their environment and each other. Audiences are invited to consider these themes as they unfold, to reimagine the creative possibilities of everyday streetscapes, and to enjoy the breathtaking drama of vertical dance.
